22 Nauseating Quotes From Hypocritical Establishment Politicians About The NSA Spying Scandal

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

Establishment politicians from both major political parties are rushing to defend the NSA and condemn whistleblower Edward Snowden. They are attempting to portray Edward Snowden as a “traitor” and the spooks over at the NSA that are snooping on all of us as “heroes”. In fact, many of the exact same politicians that once railed against government spying during the Bush years are now staunchly defending it now that Obama is in the White House.

Obama moves to escalate Syrian slaughter

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

The announcement that the US is moving to directly arm the Islamist militias and other armed gangs laying waste to Syria represents a further descent into crisis and outright criminality by the Obama administration.

US and other Western officials report that the Pentagon has also provided the administration with plans to impose a no-fly zone to carve out a swathe of Syrian territory at least 25 miles deep along the Jordanian border for the purpose of massing, training and arming proxy forces to invade Syria.

At the center of the NSA scandal is a gang of Israeli high-tech criminals which is connected to the false-flag terror attacks of 9-11. These connections underline the involvement of the same Israeli criminals to both 9-11 and the NSA’s secret program to collect and store our personal information and conversations, which came about mainly as a consequence of 9-11.

Are you Willing to Die for your Freedom?

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

Before we even got the whole picture detailing  exactly how widespread the government’s phone tracking efforts were, we were hit  with news of the NSA PRISM program.  The details are still being uncovered and  debates and questions concerning both programs abound, but the most important  question doesn’t concern the leaker, the morality of leaking, the consequences  of living in the information age, or the efficacy of the  program.

The most important question in this new world of  electronic Big Brother is not new at all.  It is simply this: Are you willing to  die for your freedom?

Freedom: The Unfolding Revolution

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

In a much-discussed essay for Salon, Michael Lind asks: “If libertarians are  correct in claiming that they understand how best to organize a modern society,  how is it that not a single country in the world in the early twenty-first  century is organized along libertarian lines?”

Such is the philosophical poverty of liberalism today that this stands as a  profound question.

Definitions vary, but broadly speaking, libertarianism is the idea that  people should be as free as possible from state coercion so long as they don’t  harm anyone. The job of the state is limited to fighting crime, providing for  the common defense, and protecting the rights and contracts of citizens. The  individual is sovereign; he is the captain of himself.

NSA Snooping Was Only the Beginning. Meet the Spy Chief Leading Us Into Cyberwar

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

Inside Fort Meade, Maryland, a top-secret city bustles. Tens of thousands of people move through more than 50 buildings—the city has its own post office, fire department, and police force. But as if designed by Kafka, it sits among a forest of trees, surrounded by electrified fences and heavily armed guards, protected by antitank barriers, monitored by sensitive motion detectors, and watched by rotating cameras. To block any telltale electromagnetic signals from escaping, the inner walls of the buildings are wrapped in protective copper shielding and the one-way windows are embedded with a fine copper mesh.

US Chemical Weapons Report in Syria ‘Fabricated’ – Russian MP

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

A US government report concluding Syria has used chemical weapons against rebels, crossing what US President Barack Obama has previously described as a “red line,” is a fabrication, a senior Russian lawmaker said Friday.

“Information about the usage of chemical weapons by [Syrian President Bashar] Assad is fabricated in the same way as the lie about [Saddam] Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction [in Iraq],” Alexei Pushkov, head of the Russian lower house of parliament’s international affairs committee, said on Twitter.

Study: Glyphosate (Roundup) Feeds Breast Cancer Cell Growth In the PARTS PER TRILLION Range

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

An alarming new study, accepted for publication in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology last month, indicates that glyphosate, the world’s most widely used herbicide due to its widespread use in genetically engineered agriculture, is capable of driving estrogen receptor mediated breast cancer cell proliferation within the infinitesimal parts per trillion concentration range.

An Engineer’s Take on Climate Change #2

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

At an atmospheric concentration of 380ppm and higher the limited long-wave spectral absorption of CO2 is essentially saturated. Consequently, yet more atmospheric CO2 becomes vanishingly less relevant to a greenhouse effect (if at all). And when more atmospheric water vapor is objectively evaluated its net-effect is found to be a negative-feedback rather than a positive one (in direct contradiction to the presumption of the Models). However, enhanced atmospheric CO2 clearly stimulates the proliferation of all forms of life. You might best call it Vitamin C…(O2).

From hate speech to terrorism: Freedom of speech under assault

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

The first real problem is that the government has oozed its way into control of  our media. Our national news channels and networks typically feature former  government consultants and political flacks, all who have a stake in the  government’s interest, not in ours. What has resulted over the last 40 years is  the harassment and public criticism of Americans whose only crime has been  challenging unpopular ideas or exposing the federal government’s un-truths.

No significant warming for 17 years 4 months

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

As Anthony and others have pointed out, even the New York Times has at last been constrained to admit what Dr. Pachauri of the IPCC was constrained to admit some months ago. There has been no global warming statistically distinguishable from zero for getting on for two decades.

The NYT says the absence of warming arises because skeptics cherry-pick 1998, the year of the Great el Niño, as their starting point. However, as Anthony explained yesterday, the stasis goes back farther than that. He says we shall soon be approaching Dr. Ben Santer’s 17-year test: if there is no warming for 17 years, the models are wrong.

What Is The Government’s Agenda? — Paul Craig Roberts

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

It has been public information for a decade that the US government secretly, illegally, and unconstitutionally spies on its citizens.  Congress and the federal courts have done nothing about this extreme violation of the US Constitution and statutory law, and the insouciant US public seems unperturbed.

In 2004 a whistleblower informed the New York Times that the National Security Agency (NSA) was violating the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by ignoring the FISA court and spying on Americans without obtaining the necessary warrants.  The corrupt New York Times put the interests of the US government ahead of those of the American public and sat on the story for one year until George W. Bush was safely reelected.

When you think of Monsanto, you likely think of genetically modified foods and  corporate greed. But  Monsanto’s tale of destruction is far from new. As a matter of  fact, Monsanto has been harming people for decades—at least since the  Vietnam War.

Maxeiner, Miersch And Magdeburg: Superstitious Spiegel Devolves To The Dark Ages, Blames Floods On “Deniers”

See on Scoop.itLiberty Revolution

When the Little Ice Age brought widespread crop failures, mass starvation, and disease in populated Europe some centuries ago, the enlightened ones blamed the climate-related misery and misfortune on the black magic of sorcerers and witches – who were promptly tried and burned at the stake. In other cultures, people performed rain-dances, human sacrifices, or other bizarre rituals, all in a futile attempt to appease the weather gods. Of course the victims of these rituals were often political opponents.

Today nothing has changed apparently, as Spiegel poignantly demonstrates with its latest online round of hysterics
