That is a £1bn bridge too far: World’s longest sea bridge opens to traffic in China
China has opened the world’s longest cross-sea bridge – which stretches five miles further than the distance between Dover and Calais.
The Jiaozhou Bay bridge is 26.4 miles long and links China’s eastern port city of Qingdao to the offshore island Huangdao.
The road bridge, which is 110ft wide and is the longest of its kind, cost nearly £1billion to build.

Judicial corruption is out of control on the US. Thankfully, most judges do not participate, but neither do they stand up against it.
The same can be said for police officers.
The man was tangling with a specific judge, said his life was in danger, put it on a video, and two weeks later was dead. Those are the facts that are indisputable.

On Fire but Blacked Out: The Thomas Ball Story
A 58-year-old New Hampshire man by the name of Thomas James Ball set himself on fire in front of a courthouse because he was “done being bullied for being a man” by the family court system. And despite his horrible and public death, he got little media attention. Just a few activists on the web and a few news outlets such as International Business Times and the Keene Sentinel picked it up. Even Wikipedia took his page down.

FBI arrests dangerous gangster without kicking his door down
Over the last few decades, SWAT teams and paramilitary-style police tactics have proliferated like a wild fire. According to a recent USA Today interview with Peter Kraska, a criminologist whose work focuses on police militarization, SWAT teams were deployed only about 2,000 to 3,000 times per year in the early to mid 80′s. That number has shot up to about 70,000 to 80,000 per year in the present. The main reason for this dramatic increase is the use of SWAT teams for serving routine search or arrest warrants especially for drug suspects. SWAT teams have even been used to investigate suspected underage drinking and unlicensed barber shops.

That we live in such a police state today where the opening line to a news story even mentions government agents molesting little children should be downright astonishing, but it’s the truth. Of course, the TSA never claimed it was "molesting" children, and it describes its policy change as a way to "screen children without using invasive measures."
