The Resistance in Obama Time: Over 2,600 Activists Arrested in the US Since Election
Since President Obama was inaugurated, there have been over two thousand six hundred arrests of activists protesting in the US. Research shows over 670 people have been arrested in protests inside the US already in 2011, over 1290 were arrested in 2010, and 665 arrested in 2009. These figures certainly underestimate the number actually arrested as arrests in US protests are rarely covered by the mainstream media outlets which focus so intently on arrests of protestors in other countries.

At least 125 people were killed by the twister on Sunday, which authorities say is the deadliest single tornado in America since modern record-keeping began over 60 years ago.

Success! Rally For Food and Farm Freedom

We met in D.C. and peacefully protested just one month after the FDA’s year long sting operation and armed raid against Amish farmer Dan Allgyer culminated over the distribution of unpasteurized milk. TSA morons conduct bomb drill in Minnesota airport, but don’t tell police
With their guns draw and packing live ammo, police officers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport surrounded a man smuggling a bomb in a carry-on bag. Although details are sketchy because the TSA is trying to downplay this incident, the cops were no doubt yelling at the man to hit the floor and surrender. Had this man acted in any sort of threatening-looking way, the cops would have certainly opened fire on him.

Another Damaging Power Grab by the Obama Administration
Earlier this year, under the title “Who Needs Congress: Legislation by Regulatory Fiat,” we expressed concern that the Obama Administration was moving to checkmate the 2010 Republican electoral sweep by getting its acolytes and bureaucrats in the regulatory agencies, which the Administration controls, to do its legislative work for them. We cited our fears that the agency bureaucrats, most of whom aren’t even confirmed by Congress, would use their almost unlimited power to write regulations and make legal interpretations of, ambiguous at best, legislative language to determine the “will” of Congress in passing legislation it never even read. The common thread, we feared, was to transfer more and more control over the private sector to the Federal government.
