The United States will not attend a U.N. conference on racism that critics say will be a forum to bash Israel and will no longer take part in preparatory sessions for it, a U.S. official said on Friday.
Acting legend Clint Eastwood , 79, apparently believes that political correctness has rendered modern society humourless, for he accuses younger generations of spending too much time trying to avoid being offensive.

Dr. William Happer, currently a professor of Physics at Princeton University, was once fired by Gore at the Department of Energy in 1993 for disagreeing with the vice president on the effects of ozone to humans and plant life, also disagrees with Gore’s claim that manmade carbon dioxide (CO2) increases the temperature of the earth and is a threat to mankind. Happer appeared before the U.S. Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee on Feb. 25 and explained CO2 is in short-supply in relative terms of the history of the planet.

Not a great speech, but extremely consequential. If Barack Obama succeeds, his joint address to Congress will be seen as historic — indeed as the foundational document of Obamaism.
Today is a tremendous victory for free speech and the First Amendment, and while I am sure liberals will continue to look for another way to attack conservative radio, I will be standing with my colleagues to ensure that doesn’t happen.”
For several decades now, the so-called non-aligned member states who currently dominate the United Nations General Assembly have sought to convert the United Nations into a global governance institution. The objective is to bring about what its proponents deem global social justice.
When Barack Obama nominated John P. Holdren as his Science Adviser last December 20, the president-elect stated "promoting science isn’t just about providing resources" but "ensuring that facts and evidence are never twisted or obscured by politics or ideology." In nominating John Holdren, his words could scarcely have taken a more Orwellian ring.
Hundreds of billions of dollars are now set to flow into left wing liberal and environmental programs from the Government Stingallus (sting-all-us) Bill. But what concerns me more is how much of this money–Our Money–will be funneled into the Democrat Party as campaign contributions in 2010 and 2012 to assure that political power remains in Democrat hands.
From the moment Barack Obama was inaugurated on January 20, the leftists who control Congress have–at his behest–gone on a drunken binge of runaway spending vis-à-vis an $850-billion faux “stimulus” program that rewards failure and punishes success.

New Agency Proposed to Oversee Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae
The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago.
Democrats buried mortgage scandal under the rug five years ago!
You knew it was coming, but I bet you didn’t think that the left’s assault on gun rights would come as quickly and as aggressively as it has.
As with the Age of Industrialization’s dawning, this Age of Globalization’s advent is a time of promise and peril, wherein many Americans’ cherished way of life is being “creatively destroyed” by a tsunami of merciless changes seemingly beyond control. The very concept of a sovereign nation-state is besieged by the discordant forces of disorder – and without order, there is no justice or freedom for the people.
Today the Obama administration let loose two big exploratory ideas in a first (but surely not the last!) nervous attempt to wring more revenues out of a distressed economy.
Idea 1: Use the revenues generated by cap and trade to pay for health care tax credits for lower-income people.
Idea 2: Disallow about 25% of itemized deductions for upper income taxpayers.
What do these ideas have in common?
First, they are very sneaky.
Barack Obama’s nascent presidency has brought forth the customary flood of policy proposals from the great and good, all hoping to influence his administration. One noteworthy offering is a short report with a distinguished provenance entitled A Plan for Action,1 which features a revealingly immodest subtitle: A New Era of International Cooperation for a Changed World: 2009, 2010, and Beyond.
Barack Obama is claiming he will reduce the federal deficit despite spending more money than any president in history.
This latest speech by Obama was short and to the point. Obama’s handlers realize that when Obama talks too much, it’s just not good…for him or America. Such is the inevitable outcome, when declare War on Achievement.
Those two words–Inherited Debt–will surely be used over and over again by this administration, and by liberals in general, to hold Obama and the Democrats blameless for any and all failures sure to ensue as a result of their own policies.
BOOKS do not sell themselves: that is what films are for. “The Reader”, the book that inspired the Oscar-winning film, has shot up the bestseller lists. Another recent publishing success, however, has had more help from Washington, DC, than Hollywood. That book is Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”.

It’s a sad day when the most regal person on stage at the State of the Union is Nancy Pelosi, but that’s exactly what happened last night. And despite the media accolades, the fact that Barack Hussein Obama’s first entrance into the US House of Representatives had all the pomp and circumstance of Hugo Chavez at the racetrack was as clear as day.
The audacity and speed with which Obama railroaded the stimulus bill through Congress took Republicans by surprise. It shouldn’t have; it was a logical extension of his campaign tactics.
How He Did It: A Diagrammatic Analysis of the Obama Campaign
When the New York Post went ape in a cartoon, the enemies of freedom and equality showed their colors. Apparently the time has come to silence all critics of President Obama! He is the leader of our country and must not be questioned! Therefore, anyone who dares to make a critical reference to him or any of his policies is an enemy of the United States and should be destroyed.
Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.), the longest-serving Democratic senator, is criticizing President Obama’s appointment of White House “czars” to oversee federal policy, saying these executive positions amount to a power grab by the executive branch.
As Michelle Malkin explains, the potentially “offensive” cartoon was in fact perfectly innocent, and accompanied a column about a study which found that women were apparently turned on by images of apes mating. And the reference to the Connecticut attack is, of course, a red herring: the “note” would never have appeared had it not been for the hysteria over the New York Post cartoon, which was so infectious that the Washington Post felt compelled to apologize for its own cartoon before anyone realized they were offended.
As someone, not Jewish, it is difficult for me to understand why so many Jews support the Palestinians, the very people, who want to drive out the Jews from the Middle East. Oddly enough, it is mainly non-Jewish people (non-Muslim of course), who support and stand up to defend Jews against the anti-Semites. The New York University (NYU) students, many of them Jewish, barricaded themselves inside the Kimmel Center for University Life, holding the building hostage in protest to support Palestinian students and Gaza terrorists.

The community organizers who helped tank the housing market plan to seize private property being foreclosed. Acorn’s "homesteaders" will squat in homes they don’t own as Congress members urge them on.
Forget all the conspiracy theories of a mythological “North American Union” combining us with Mexico and Canada. Barack Obama wants America to be an unofficial member of the European Union. The path he outlined in his quasi “state of the union” address is to remake America on the model of a European welfare state.
It’s time for the grassroots conservatives gathered at the Conservative Political Action Conference to again lead the fight for the principles of freedom that have propelled America to greatness.
With Big Government on the March, Who Will Fight for Freedom?
Technologies that appear at first blush and in the lab to be both benign and efficacious often turn out, upon widespread implementation, to be counter-productive or even detrimental. We have yet to accurately capture and model the complexity of reality. Emergent phenomena, unintended consequences, unexpected and undesirable by-products, ungovernable economic and other processes all conspire to adversely affect the trajectories of even the most thoroughly studied inventions.
On the political level, its raison d’être was based on the canard that Muslims in the United States suffer from bias and are victimized. That idea took formal expression in 2000, when the Senate passed a resolution inveighing against the "discrimination" and "backlash" suffered by the American Muslim community, an insulting falsehood then and now.
While the Obama-led Democrats control the future of the United States of America, the grassroots on the Internet (The Obama Forum) are in the process of turning in “enemies of Obama”, including the parents of children who are Obama supporters.

Instead of a dialogue on race Mr. Holder, why don’t we discuss some of these topics: personal finance, starting a business, sports, history, philosophy, art, fishing, raising children, God, or one of my favorite topics, music.
In Barack Obama’s speech before Congress last night there are serious policy flaws that must be considered by conscientious citizens. One must look beneath the rhetoric and pleasant demeanor in order to objectively assess these flaws.
As Obama-loving media gush and swoon while they report the new President’s popularity, an inconvenient truth emerged Tuesday that seems destined to get ignored: after one month in office, George W. Bush was more popular than the current White House occupant.
After having their faces rubbed in the dirt for decades, some state governments are now deciding to start pushing back. Fourteen state legislatures have now either passed or have introduced bills to publicly declare their state’s sovereignty as set out in the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the United States Constitution.

The war on drugs has failed. And it’s high time to replace an ineffective strategy with more humane and efficient drug policies. This is the central message of the report by the Latin American Commission on Drugs and Democracy we presented to the public recently in Rio de Janeiro.
President Obama announced tonight that "our day of reckoning has arrived." How will our new president respond to this epoch-making challenge? If tonight’s speech is any indication, he will respond with wishful, and indeed magical, thinking.
There is something truly disturbing about the kind of politician generated in the state of Illinois, and particularly those who call Chicago home. No, I’m not talking about the widespread corruption that sends the elected officials of this state to prison with distressing regularity. I’m talking about the scathing distrust officials have for their citizens — and for the citizens of the rest of the United States.

Within hours of the news of Aasiya Z. Hassan’s February 12th beheading, allegedly by her husband, Muzzamil Hassan, in Buffalo, American-Muslim organizations and individuals began a dirge bemoaning the existence of domestic violence. But thanks be to Allah, they affirmed, such violence exists among all faiths and ethnicities.
Once upon a time, in a nation called the United States of America, people who were sturdy, hardworking, innovative, God-fearing, country-loving and–if not uniformly prosperous–had most of their needs and wants met. In that land, guy met gal, guy and gal fell in love, married, and began a family.
We have watched as laws were passed by government that violated one or more of our unalienable, individual rights. We have watched as international treaties were ratified, that ran in direct opposition to our basic laws.
Attorney General Eric Holder said the United States is "a nation of cowards" when it comes to race relations. In one sense, he is absolutely right. Many whites, from university administrators and professors, schoolteachers to employers and public officials accept behavior from black people that they wouldn’t begin to accept from whites.
My brother teaches American History at a University in the St. Louis area (that shall remain nameless) and recently he received an e-mail from the administration calling all faculty to join a celebration for “condom awareness week“. Yes, a major university, a venerable Institution of Higher Learning was going to host a reception for the prophylactic, that thing that can be found in the restrooms of bars and truckstops. In fact, the celebrants were invited for “education, giveaways, games and t-shirts!“ Let`s party!
